The Review Unit: The review is the standard hybrid case for the BlackBerry 8300 series. L'Unité d'examen: L'examen est la norme hybride cas pour la série BlackBerry 8300. The case does come in an all crystal and all rubber version but the review unit has a crystal front and a rubber back. There is no fancy packaging as the case comes in a simple plastic bag.Once opened, and you get your hands on it, You can see immediately how the case works. The front of the case is quite nice inside the case and does not add much thickness to the device. In my opinion Seidio could have done a better job with tapering the plastic on the edges of the keyboard and above the trackball. The top of the case has cutouts for the mute button, earpiece, and indicator light. Le sommet de l'affaire a découpes pour le bouton de sourdine, écouteur,  et voyant lumineux. There are also small cutouts for the speaker phone but they tend to muffle and distort the speaker sound. I hope that in the next version Seidio finds a way to include a more rubberized grip on the sides. There is another cutout on the back that does not seem to have any purpose at all and kind of throws off the look but it does not hamper the protection provided by the case. The last cutout was thoughtfully placed by Seidio for the charging contacts on the back of the BlackBerry curve but currently those have no use until RIM releases a charging station. There is no ‘looseness’ to it, and no squeaking either. The case is thin enough to not feel weird when holding it to your head on a phone call and easily slips into a coat or pants pocket. • No built in screen protector Non construit en protection d'écran

Conclusion: Once again Seidio has come out with a solid case but it could still use some refinements before I would give it an editors choice award. The rubberized back is a godsend and really helps when it comes to not dropping your device.
