Feature Comparison Of Nokia Devices with BlackBerry Connect On BES

nokiae62.gifI found this great Knowledgebase resource detailing the BlackBerry features available to Nokia BlackBerry Connect users on a company BES. I had a few people asking me for this previously since their company was handing out Nokia 9300’s and they wanted E-series devices. Of notable interest is the fact that the comparison on the Knowledgebase takes into consideration the new 4.0 version of BlackBerry Connect that is only available for the E-Series devices such as the E61 and E62 Nokias. It seems that the new version allows for contact syncronization and quite a few other new features. These new features are pointed out by a asterisk star instead of an X.

In case you don’t know the devices detailed in the comparison break down into three categories:

  • Nokia Series 40 - Nokia 6810, 6820, and 6822 devices with BlackBerry Connect software 1.2 to 4.0
  • Nokia Series 80 - Nokia 9300, 9300i, and 9500 Communicators with BlackBerry Connect software 1.2 to 4.0
  • Nokia Eseries Communicators with BlackBerry® Connect version 1.2 to 4.0
