Clever Commute Helps You Fight The East Coast Commute

nyc_subwayn.jpgI was reading an article on the New York Times website about this clever new service appropriately called Clever Commute. This email service is a peer to peer email mailing list where users with BlackBerry’s or other email enabled devices share commute advice with each other. The lists are highly moderated and specific to the Mass Transit Line that you use. Currently the service is only in New York and Chicago but they seem to be expanding. The notable exception is the New York City Subway system is not supported as of this post. Personally I think this is a great way for Mass Transit riders to share information during transit issues. Imagine if before you left your house you were getting emails that one of the NJT train lines was out of commission for the last 4 hours. It would let you change your plans accordingly.
