RIM Officially Announces CDMA BlackBerry 8130 Pearl – Available November
RIM has released an official Press Release about the new and much awaited CDMA Pearl.
The new BlackBerry Pearl 8130 features:
- A new “Page View” option which allows users to quickly zoom in on a specific area of a full web page
- New font rendering technology for clearer type even at small font sizes
- Rich multimedia capabilities, including a 2 megapixel camera and an improved media player that allows users to create and edit playlists right on the handset
- Bluetooth® 2.0 support for hands-free use with headsets, car kits and Bluetooth peripherals
- Enhanced phone audio quality and background noise cancellation for better performance in loud environments
- Built-in GPS and BlackBerry Maps navigation program
- Support for high-speed EV-DO networks
The BlackBerry Pearl 8130’s sleek design measures just 4.2″ x 1.97″ x .55″ and weighs only 3.38 oz. RIM’s popular SureType keyboard system, which allows for fast, accurate typing on this smaller device, now features word completion, easier editing and a built-in spell checker. The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 will be available in two colors – silver and amethyst – from CDMA carriers in North America beginning in November 2007.
