The call manager application i,Call Manager 1.0 that we talked about earlier has now been released on the i-Softwarelabs.com website. So far I only see a desktop install link but hopefully OTA versions will be available soon. You can see the description on the i-Softwarelabs.com website and you can download the free trial at the [...]

The BlackBerry Profile Scheduler application by WCS BlackBerry Services that we mentioned previously has just received a new update. The new version 1.3 fixes a few of the caveats that I had with the application. Keep in mind this application still requires your BES administrator to enable Keystroke Injection if you are on a BES. [...]

Eric Savitz of TechTraderDaily wrote an interesting article yesterday breaking down RBC Capital analyst Mike Abramsky’s comments. We usually stay away from the stock market news on BerryReview but I found Mike’s predictions interesting:
Abramsky is especially high on the prospects for the Pearl 2 phone, which he expects to launch before year end. He says [...]

Seidio seems to be on a streak when it comes to releasing new BlackBerry extended batteries. The latest in the lineup is an extended battery for the 8800. As they did with the 8300/Curve the new battery is only a slight 10-15% extra battery life. The reason the increase is not more is because they [...]

RIM has finally conceded the issue with Gmail emails showing duplicates on your BlackBerry and has posted an approved workaround that many people have been using for quite awhile. SameCell is a free BlackBerry application that notifies you if you have friends nearby. SameCell emails you, at your request, when friends, family, colleagues or people with [...]

Idokorro came to terms with their hard to pronounce name and have changed their company name to ROVE Mobile. Their new website is www.rovemobile.com which is the new location for all of their great software. ROVE AKA Idokorro is the proud developer of such great BlackBerry titles as Mobile Admin and Mobile SSH. If you [...]

This may be a moot point after the 8820 was supposed to soft launch, then available on Amazon.com and then removed. Well the BlackBerry 8820 has resurfaced in an ad on the back cover of this month’s Computer Shopper Magazine. The ad by Newegg.com (as you can see on the left) has the 8820 going [...]

One of our readers asked me how to replace a broken LCD screen on his BlackBerry 8700. Ken Hanscom at Somelifeblog.com has posted a great step by step tutorial on how to replace a broken LCD screen on your BlackBerry 8700. Usually a broken LCD screen marks the end of your BlackBerry but you can [...]

Many users I know have always complained that the BlackBerry calendar deletes all appointments older than 90 days. After reading a recent RIM Knowledgebase article I found that this is a known bug. It turns out that this is actually a symptom of using the BlackBerry Desktop redirector. The redirector installs an CICAL service book [...]
