AT&T Changing Things Up For BlackBerry BIS Users
AT&T has been hinting at an upgrade to BIS 2.4 for awhile now and it seems like it may be coming very soon. Check out this page on AT&T’s website where they announce and urge you to upgrade. This new version of BIS 2.4 adds and improves upon many features and you can see some of those changes here.
Also AT&T has announced to some users that they will be changing the email addresses for BIS users from @mycingular.blackberry.net to @att.blackberry.net. BoyGenius has confirmed that current customers will retain the same email names but the domain extension will be changing. Thankfully for many users that rely on their BlackBerry addresses, the mycingular.blackberry.net address will automatically forward to your new @att.blackberry.net address until March 1, 2008.
