Gizmo Project To Release Free IM Client & Cheap Long Distance Calls Tomorrow

gizmomobile_callin_contact.jpgI just got a tip from one of our readers that the GizmoProject, known for their free desktop SIP service, will be releasing a new application for BlackBerry devices tomorrow called Gizmo For Mobile. The application allows you to chat on MSN, AIM, Yahoo, and Jabber and make cheap calls to any phone number. The nice part is that calls work between the GizmoProject desktop phone and Gizmo For Mobile. The application is slated to come out tomorrow for BlackBerry devices but from what I see in the screenshots this does seem like a cool application that reminds me almost exactly of EQO mobile that we mentioned before. The screenshot on the left is from a Symbian phone since the BlackBerry client is not out yet. It seems to be a mix of an IM client and a SkypeOut-like application that allows you to make cheap long distance calls from your mobile. The interface looks pretty snazzy and the prices for calls are reasonable.

Keep and eye out at these links for the release tomorrow
