Preorder Seidio BlackBerry 8300 Curve 2600mAH Extended Battery
Seidio has now started accepting preorders for their new 2600mAH extended battery for the BlackBerry 8300 curve. They claim the new battery provides approximately 140% longer battery life than the 1100mAH OEM standard battery. Unlike Seidio’s previous release this product extends your Blackberry 8300 by 4-5 mm. They have designed the new back cover to fit comfortably in your hand and have made it compatible with their Rubberized Holster.
The battery door is made from hard plastic with a smooth, rubberized finish, allowing scratch reduction of the door, as well as a better grip. The door has cutouts for the camera, flash, and mirror, as well as an opening for the speaker. They claim the cutouts provide a better overall sound quality than the OEM door. During preorder they are offering the battery for $49.95 “introductory price” instead of the regular $59.95. I personally could see many people jumping on this for the unbelievably long battery life but the extra bulk may not be worth it for casual users.
