CactusLocate - New GPS Tracking Application For BlackBerry

cactus1.gifI was just tipped off that we may have a new GPS tracking application coming for BlackBerry devices called Cactus Locate. So far the application seems to be in Beta and there is no mention of price but its good to see that developers are working on squeezing every ounce of potential out of our BlackBerry’s. The beta seems to be invite only but you can send them an email asking for an invite if you wish. The software installs on your BlackBerry 8800 and reports your location every 30 seconds and shows it on Google Maps. It tracks your history so you can see the last known locations of your Berry. Personally I think this GPS tracking is just a little too big brother but judge for yourself. If you don’t want to wait for an invite you can always use the free BBtrack. Thanks MiBlackBerry for the tip.

EDIT: You can get an invitation by emailing Cactus Locate at this address: cactus@liberationmedia.com
