Research in Motion buys 37 acres of land in Waterloo
DALSA Corporation just put out a press release today confirming that it has completed an agreement originally announced in May to sell approximately 37 acres of land in Waterloo to Research in Motion (RIM) at a cost of around $11.6 million. DALSA, which owns approximately 19 adjacent acres, is jointly developing lands in Northeast Waterloo with RIM. Both companies are planning to use their respective parcels of land for future expansion.
Now this just raises the question. What does the extra land mean to us humble BlackBerry users? Does this mean we will be seeing RIM ramping up production of new devices and software revisions. Whatever the case this expansion can only mean things are on the up and up for our favorite Canadian company. Thanks to MiBlackBerry for the tip.
