L.A. Lorek from San Antonio’s Express-News asks a difficult question. Will you be checking your work email this Labor Day? Lorek talks about how Labor Day was created 125 years ago to give people a break from work. Yet in todays age a BlackBerry keeps you in constant connection with your work. He discusses how this mobile technology never lets you actually leave work behind. Lorek even discusses the BlackBerry addiction that is usually diagnosed by the ones we love pointing it out to us. I know I have had my wife complaining about my attachment to my BlackBerry but I am in a constant struggle with balancing my personal and work life. So I ask all my readers how you balance the work / life “conflict” inherent in being connected 24/7 with your work?
