Preview: PocketDay Version 5.1 Part II

As we mentioned before Cross River Systems will hopefully be releasing PocketDay v5 later this week and I just got my hands on the full feature list of the new V5.

General

    • New PocketDay Icon
    • New Crisp 3-D sections
    • New Anti-Alias / Effect support on Fonts
    • New Text Message Section
    • New Memo Section (OS 4.2 and pro version only)
    • New Trackball usage – single click open
    • Full Screen Views
    • Move the Trackball left/right to bring up the View switcher. Select a view and click to switch to it. Press ESC to go back to summary view.

    Email

    • New Email Preview (press Spacebar when an email is highlighted). This will NOT mark the email as open
    • Create a Calendar or ToDo Event from an Email (on Menu when viewing an email)

    Tasks

    • Category Support !!!!
    • New sorting options on Task View (Press T)
    • Add a contact reference to a Task . This allows you to quickly Call or Email the contact when the calendar item is open inside PocketDay.

    Calendar

    • Add a Contact Reference to a calendar item. This allows you to quickly Call or Email the contact when the calendar item is open inside PocketDay.
    • Support for simple Recurring events (create/modify) … no support for exceptions
    • New show time on left side of page
    • MonthView
      • Spacebar pops open the day preview
      • Trackball now scrolls left/right and up/down

    RSS

    • New enhanced RSS display (shows images, etc).
    • Added new Traffic feeds
    • Added additional Built in feeds

    Sports

    • New – use spacebar for the Status Preview (no longer pops up by itself)

    Miscellaneous Fixes

    • Missed Calls now in correct order (most recent first)
    • 7-Day weather now faster
    • New Clock Faces
    • Create Calendar / ToDo items from missed calls
