Ran across a couple more issues. Redirecting to ear buds does not always happen. When I play a song, the music will come out of the speaker, even when ear buds are inserted. Also, when playing a movie in .avi format, it works well, unless I use the ff/rw option. Then the sound only plays static, even if I restart the movie from the beginning once this occurs. MPEG4 format seems to work better on the Blackberry Curve, but I could not get Xplayer to play in MPEG4 format.

Beta version is much better than the free version. The playlist enhancement is great. One problem is that if loading books with numeric chapter titles from multiple CDs, the sort does not work, because the track defaults as part of the name. For example, CD1 tracks 1 and 2 called 101 and 102 respectively sorted with CD 2 tracks 1 and 2 called 201 and 202 respectively sort like this:
1 - 101
1 - 201
2 - 102
2 - 202 because the track defaults as part of the file name.

This is not convenient for listening to books. None of the sort options will sort like this:
101
102
201
202

Also, the fast forward and rewind options work well for small files, but when you have full books in a single file, the smallest fastforward segment is about 20 minutes. Smaller ff/rw segments would be nice for movie and single-book files.
