Subway / Metro Maps For Your BlackBerry – MetroViewer / Tube 2
I was asked again today about solutions for Subway / Metro maps on your BlackBerry. So far I know of two graphical solutions. The first one is MetroViewer and is free, the second is Visual IT Tube 2 which is commercial. Tube 2 seems to be the easiest to use and looks the best but neither is perfect. Personally I just use a JPG of the NYC Subway map on my phone
Nelson Faria has been working hard on the MetroViewer application which is a free subway map application with maps of Paris, New York City, London, and Spain. You can see the screenshots above or you can visit the page here. Nelson asks for a donation if you feel so inclined.
The second solution which you can see above is Visual IT’s Tube 2 Maps that include the subway maps for Paris, New York City, and London but that solution is commercial and you have to buy each map separately. Visual IT has route planning information and a better interface than MetroViewer. Stay tuned for reviews of both in the coming days.
