Antair has come up with an innovative new spam solution for BlackBerry devices. The Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter runs locally on your BlackBerry so it has no effect on your email server. This means that you can scan your blackberry.net email address, corporate email, and personal email on your BlackBerry. This is nice because there are no servers or desktop applications that you need to keep running since the application runs locally. Antair claims that their Spam Filter was trained with over 100,000 unique spam messages so that it can correctly guess what messages are spam.
When Antair Spam Filter catches a spam message, it immediately removes the message from the BlackBerry. The message is removed locally, and a copy of the original message is left on the e-mail server, to be picked up by Microsoft Outlook, or any other e-mail client which monitors that e-mail account. The nice part is that Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter will automatically retain all of the recently filtered messages right on the device. You can view the recently filtered messages at any time by just opening the application. Antair offers a 30-day trial so that you can try before you buy.
