Service Outages Still Plague BlackBerry & AT&T
eWeek has a great article about what AT&T needs to do to increase the reliability of their network. They need to take into account how addicted BlackBerry users are to their email when they deal with service reliability. This was highlighted once again wit an outage on August 1st. Hot on the heels of outages on July 20th and July 2nd. This quote from eWeek is a perfect statement of the current situation:
“The million-dollar question seems to be how much downtime the BlackBerry’s 8 million users will tolerate. After all, they really don’t care whether RIM or AT&T is at fault—they just want their service running consistently. These are mostly corporate users who rely heavily on the service, and they tend to be a vocal group when disgruntled.”
