The BlackBerrySmart Email Viewer that we reviewed here has been upgraded with many more features. It looks like they are adding features to their software to completely replace the native email viewer. The list of added features they have announced includes:

  • Ability to view attachments
  • All the trimmings of the native RIM email viewer (delete from server, forward as, add to address book, save, mark unopened, previous/next item, etc.)
  • PIM integration (Can add email as task and also add to calendar)
  • Ability to auto-update
  • Cool new color choices on the options screens

The interesting addition to this application is the ability to create a task or calendar entry from an email. This is something I have been looking to do for quite awhile. You can head on down to one of these links after the jump to purchase the Viewer for $24.99. Once again it may be a bit pricy for a BlackBerry application but these guys keep on adding new functionality without any extra charge making it a worthy investment.
