As a fair warning for any of our readers on a limited BlackBerry account the download is ~900KB and after you run the program for the first time It downloads another 140KB. That is a quick way to rack up a bill if you are on a pay as you go plan.

Yahoo is offering a free new mobile program for BlackBerry devices that hooks you up with quite a few of their Yahoo services. You have access to Yahoo email, calendar, address book, Flickr, weather, news, stocks, sports, and local search. The interface is very innovative for the BlackBerry and is unlike anything else we have seen so far from other developers. As of now you have to setup push email and Yahoo IM support independently of the Yahoo Go service. Though you do have access to your email through the “pull” client built into the Yahoo Go interface. If you are on an unlimited data plan I would highly recommend this service. I use it for access to my Flickr account on the road. Give it a spin and tell us what you think. We will be running a review of the application real soon so stay tuned…
Thanks to LockerGnome and all the posters on BlackBerryForums.com for giving us a heads up.
