Οι τύποι κάτω Empower έχουν όντας πολυάσχολοι οι τελευταίες ημέρες ενημερώνοντας την αίτησή τους. Αποφασίσαμε να τρέξουμε μια αναπροσαρμογή αυτού που μπορείτε να αναμείνετε στη νέα έκδοση. Ο κεντρικός αγωγός αλλάζει Ι έμπειρο ήταν μια συμπαθητική εξέταση της οθόνης διαμόρφωσης και λίγο περισσότερης αξιοπιστίας του θεατή HTML με τα μεγάλα ηλεκτρονικά ταχυδρομεία.
Προς την αναπροσαρμογή…
Αναπροσαρμογές διαμόρφωσης: Δεδομένου ότι μπορείτε να δείτε από τη διαμόρφωση screenshots επάνω από τους υπεύθυνους για την ανάπτυξη Empower έχει δουλεψει σκληρά για να ενσωματώσει τις προτάσεις που προσφέρονται από τους βήτα ελεγκτές τους. Έχουν προσθέσει τη δυνατότητα στις αλλαγές πρόβλεψης στο κείμενο του θεατή. Περιλαμβάνεται σε αυτό η δυνατότητα να αλλαχτεί το μέγεθος πηγών. Έχουν προσθέσει επίσης πολλές νέες πηγές στην επιλογή τους όπως μπορείτε να δείτε ανωτέρω. Ένα συμπαθητικό κομμάτι της λειτουργίας είναι η προστιθέμενη δυνατότητα να αλλαχτεί το χρώμα υποβάθρου του θεατή άνω των 15+ προετοίμασε τα χρώματα.
Αναπροσαρμογή αξιοπιστίας: Νέος ο βήτα της Empower εφαρμογής έχει προσθέσει την αξιοπιστία πέρα από τον αρχικό αλλά αυτό έχει ακόμα κάμποσες ιδιορρυθμίες. Φαίνονται ακόμα να έχουν ένα ζήτημα όταν επιτρέψετε automore στο βατόμουρό σας που θα σας επιλέξει από το θεατή HTML. Αυτό είναι αρκετά ενοχλητικό και μπορεί μερικές φορές να καθοριστεί με την επιλογή «όλων» από τις επιλογές επιλογών και έπειτα την επιλογή του θεατή πίσω επάνω. Διαπιστώνω ότι με τη νέα έκδοση εάν κλείνω τις εικόνες στο ηλεκτρονικό ταχυδρομείο έπειτα ο θεατής είναι πιό αξιόπιστος.
Φαίνονται επίσης να κάνουν λίγη εργασία για την προσπάθεια να αποκτηθούν μερικοί από τους βασικούς συντομότερους δρόμους πίσω στην εφαρμογή όταν είναι ανοικτός ο θεατής. Από τώρα όταν χτυπάτε «το Β» ή το πλήκτρο διαστήματος στο βατόμουρο που σας παίρνει μια σελίδα κάτω στο θεατή αλλά μετά από αυτόν πρέπει να τυλίξετε με τη σφαίρα κυλίνδρων. Ελπίζω πραγματικά ότι κατορθώνουν να βρούν έναν τρόπο να καθοριστεί αυτό επειδή έτσι τυλίγω συνήθως μέσω των ηλεκτρονικών ταχυδρομείων μου. Η συμπαθητική λειτουργία ότι έχουν βελτιωθεί βλέπουν τις συνδέσεις είναι τώρα πιό αξιόπιστη από μέσα από το θεατή. As you can see above the attachments are now shown on the bottom of the email if you have already downloaded them.
Issues slated to be fixed in next release:
- Toggle back to normal view when an email is very large, contains many images, or gets automore. (Such as every email from TigerDirect or SharperImage)
- Lack of reliable support for hitting “B” or spacebar to go one page down in an email.
Remaining Issues:
- No image cache to speed up opening of previously opened emails
- Option to not shorten links to their title in emails. This should be a configuration option that you can turn off and on.
- Hotkey to toggle the viewer on and off.
- Reliable view of images in emails without just getting placeholders
Conclusion: The developers at Empower have an emerging hit on their hands. They managed to fix some small quirks in the software and only added ~1K to the size of the download. They have stated that the are working on the main issues people are having with the software and will be releasing a new version soon that fixes the scrolling and unloading of the viewer in large emails. Once they hit that level of reliability they will have removed the biggest barriers for large scale acceptance of their software. I wanted to thank the developers for providing such a innovative solution for free and for listening to their beta testers for suggestions on improvements. I just updated our review of the new Beta of Empower. Overall I like the improvements and find that they developers are very responsive to everybody’s feedback. I am looking forward to the next releas……

I recently started using Empower email viewer V2.0 and I find it is frustratingly slow. Just to get into my message list and scroll the list of emails my Blackberry Curve hangs up for many seconds while showing the hourglass icon. This needs to be fixed. I mean, I like being able to see the odd email with html, but mostly I don’t need it. So for this program to have bogged down the whole works makes me inclined to just remove the application entirely.
